So, in this reality or simulation, each of us has a purpose that we ourselves have chosen in a higher reality when deciding to be born here. However, while in this reality, we can never know that purpose, so the illusion does not shatter and we can genuinely pursue that purpose.
But how can we pursue a purpose we do not know? And how could that purpose motivate and encourage us forward if we don't know it?
This is a good question, but the answer is highly individual and personal.
To find that answer, we need to be at peace with our body in this reality to connect with our true self without being disrupted by the illusion, and feel our true purpose through our presence.
Some people are more sensitive to feeling their purpose than others. Many people tell how they are driven forward by a force they cannot quite describe or explain. They just feel they are doing the right thing, and that gives them the strength to create, build, and maintain. For them, helping others by providing services, producing goods, and offering charity is valuable in itself and a powerful incentive.
Other people are more uncertain about their purpose and meaning in general. They might feel the need to do something, but they cannot quite define what it is. Some things feel more right to them than others, but nothing necessarily spurs them to continue vigorously. They might even feel for years that they are doing something important, until some change brings uncertainty to the surface and causes their momentum to fade. In uncertainty, life feels heavier and even entirely purposeless.
Then there are those who might be entirely unaware of their purpose. For them, days just follow one another, without even a hint of meaning. Life sometimes feels happy, but beneath it all lies a subconscious or conscious dread: is this what it is, why am I here, what meaning does anything have? Life can then feel pointless and even burdensome, and ending the burden might frequently come to mind.
Although we are all different, it is beneficial for all of us to feel that our life has meaning. And it harms us if we cannot experience that feeling.
For all of us, even the most sensitive who already draw strength from their purpose without even knowing it, it is beneficial to get to know ourselves better and learn to be present in the here and now, whether this here and now is a simulation or genuine reality.
It is presence that brings us closer to our true self and gives us a better chance to feel our real purpose here and now. Of course, we can not take from the moment any clear and definite answer to cling to moving forward, shattering the illusion in the process; instead, we need to bring presence into everything we do to clarify our purpose.
While meditation is certainly helpful in this process, our personal interaction with the surrounding reality and the other conscious beings inhabiting it plays an essential role.
You can indeed search for your purpose solely through interaction, even quite successfully, but the benefits of self-awareness and presence should not be underestimated as they help place our interactions in their right proportions.
What is essential, however, is that interaction is necessarily part of our purpose here and now. If it were not, it would not exist - we would not have consciously come to a reality where interaction occurs if we did not want it or consider it important for achieving our purpose. Otherwise, we might as well exist in emptiness without anything or anyone else.
Thus, each of our purposes includes being in some way in interaction with our current reality and with each other. We would not be here if this were not the case.
But what kind of interaction it should be, what we wish to learn from it, and how we wish to influence through it - that we each must discover for ourselves.
Personally, my journey has progressed through trial and error. Deep down, I have always known that I need to do something for freedom and peace. Over the years, I have done many such things, and even if not all of them have been profoundly impactful, I have always learned more, developed in some area, and expanded my thinking, often achieving at least a small impact.
My journey has risen to a completely new level upon understanding and starting to believe that I chose to come to this reality and that this decision had some important reason for me personally. It has brought clarity and depth to the feeling I have always experienced and helped me progress with even more determination.
I believe that part of my purpose includes writing these notes. It certainly includes many other things, and in my life, I focus more on doing those things that I feel advance my purpose and less on those that do not support my purpose or go against it. I hope these notes will help others find something similar in terms of meaning and strength within themselves.
