This site contains a collection of notes originally published by Johannes in Finnish and English on the Nostr network.
Who is Johannes?
We do not know who Johannes is. All we know is that the Nostr profile appearing under that pseudonym - properly identified with key npub10z6m4wxdhtuza5acycz4zy5jh2mm55k2mwelqcn726atuhhety4swkujuk - has been publishing these writings since January 6, 2025.
Why does this site exist?
The site’s administrator believes that Johannes’ notes are profound and important, and that they should be more widely accessible — to an audience larger than what the Nostr network currently reaches. This website was created to fulfill that goal.
Who maintains this site?
The site is maintained by Swami Deva Nataraj. He discovered Johannes’ notes on the Nostr network and was immediately inspired, wanting to share them with the world. Nataraj built this site, including AI-assisted automatic translations into multiple languages, audio versions of the notes, podcast releases, and other features. He adds new notes to the site whenever he notices Johannes has published more on Nostr.
Translations
All notes are available in multiple languages. You can change the language using the dropdown menu in the top navigation bar or the language links at the bottom of the page. The Finnish and English notes are Johannes’ original texts, and each post includes a Nostr link at the end. The other language versions are automatically generated translations. Some of these translations also include audio files, which are also available as podcasts.
What is Nostr?
Nostr (Notes and Other Stuff Transmitted by Relays) is an open peer-to-peer network where anyone can publish content. It can be compared to services like X (formerly Twitter) or Facebook, but unlike those, Nostr is not controlled by a single company or entity. Instead, it is maintained by some of its users. Nostr can be accessed through various web services, such as Primal.net, Snort.social, and Iris.to.
Contributing
If you would like to support the site, the best way to do so at the moment is to share Johannes’ notes and tell others about them. Information about other possible ways to support the site will be added here later.
